Fast professional design + printing cost discount = print marketing savings!

For you… 10% off!*

Mention code#120430-IOS10 when you order any graphic design from InsideOut by April 30, 2012 and you’ll receive a 10% discount off the cost of printing. Use this discount for your basics: business cards, post cards, rack cards, flyers and brochures. Or try something a little different like customized sticky notes, magnets or trade show banners.

Throw in a QR code and these print pieces will give mobile users an even easier way to access your online presence.

Keep in mind, the discount is off the cost of printing only. Regular design rate applies.

Full color, two-sided pro printing doesn’t have to be expensive. For example, your InsideOut-designed 9″ x 12″ trifold brochure can be printed in a quantity of 10,000 for only $750; perfect for organizations and annual events. 5,000 4″ x 9″ rack cards for $170 is just right for a small business sending cards to area visitor centers. And anyone might find 1,000 8.5″ x 11″ flyers pretty handy for $120. Need only a few pieces? We do short runs, as few as 100, for some basic pieces. Just ask and we can come up with the quantity at the best deal for you.

*Discount only applies if InsideOut Solutions designs the piece. Design, shipping, tax and press proofs not included in the above examples. Design is billed at InsideOut’s standard hourly design rate. Prices subject to change at any time. One time use only, one per customer. Offer is non-transferrable and cannot be combined with any other InsideOut discount or offer. Expiration date: 5/1/2012.

Design: Fast & Easy. Delivery: Anywhere.

Like our web designs, the entire process can take place at your convenience via email and phone. You get fast, one-on-one service from a real person who’s happy to answer your questions along the way. To keep shipping costs low, we’re able to ship anywhere in the U.S. from within your own region. Visit our portfolio to see pieces designed for our clients both near and far.

To date, 2011 has been a whirlwind of activity both in Sequim and on the road. Conferences and trade shows have kept us on the move. Building websites, and designing and printing travel planners have kept us busy at home. Whew. We wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Jack Waknitz and Lisa Lidback in Charleston, SC, for the PAII conference.

In early January, Pat McCauley, Jack Waknitz, and Lisa Lidback traveled to Charleston, South Carolina, for the PAII conference. As a PAII Silver Sponsor, InsideOut hosted the kick-off cocktail party at the conference, which was great fun for all who attended. Lisa, Jack, and Pat met some first time PAII attendees and saw many old friends. The PAII conference is always a good trip – we connect with our clients and meet new Innkeepers.

Barely home a week, Jack and Pat packed their bags once more and headed to the Dude Ranch Conference in Tucson, AZ, to share the new Dude Ranchers’ Association website with members of the association. They stayed with Rosemary and Dave Brown of Hacienda Del Deiserto, wonderful hosts and a charming casita. A highlight of the trip was certainly the wild javelinas that come each day to the back door of the inn, drawn by the great scents that waft from the kitchen. It was a great trip all around, not least because of the warm sunshine. Check out the video:

Laura Alisane and Pat McCauley then traveled to San Diego for the California Bed and Breakfast conference. Pat spoke about Critical Elements of Web Design. Laura hosted a FaceBook roundtable and a session about blog topics for innkeepers. It was good to connect with our neighbors to the south.

The InsideOut team back in Sequim has been busy as well. January saw the launch of several websites: duderanch.org; lonesomehollow.com (a redesign); and chestnutcottagerestaurant.com. February was dedicated to building more websites, and catching up on proposals and paperwork generated by the conferences.

We’ll be on the road again in April, and hope to see you then.

InsideOut Solutions is now providing online marketing services for Kenmore Air. We are thrilled to be working with Washington State’s “third largest airline” to promote travel to and from all of Western Washington’s diverse locations.

All of the islands, peninsulas and waterways make Western Washington a beautiful place to live. They can also make transportation complicated. Washingtonians are lucky to have the country’s largest ferry system. But getting from place to place on the ferry system can take a good chunk of your day.

Luckily Kenmore Air provides scheduled and chartered airline service to dozens of island and peninsula locations. Planes are faster than boats. What’s even faster than a plane? A plane that can land on water.

Kenmore Air Seaplane at Port Ludlow

Recently Pat McCauley and myself (Steven Dunston) were invited to Kenmore Air headquarters (you guessed it, it’s in Kenmore!) at the northern tip of Lake Washington. Kenmore Air was generous enough to offer to pick us up with a seaplane in Port Ludlow, which gave us a chance for a first-hand experience of our new client’s service.

Puyallup and Spokane Ferries seen from a Kenmore Air Beaver

The seaplane taxied right up to the dock in Port Ludlow Harbor. A hop up the ladder, a hello to the pilot, and seconds later, we were heading across the harbor, and into the air. Soon we were looking down on the Ferries Puyallup and Spokane, as they passed each other on their respective ways to Edmonds and Kingston.

We had a great meeting at the Kenmore Air Headquarters with their staff, and soon we were back in the float plane, headed back to Port Ludlow and our offices in Sequim in time for lunch.

If you are planning any travel to the Olympic Peninsula or the San Juan Islands, Kenmore Air just might be the ticket.

Pat McCauley and Steven Dunston at Kenmore Air Headquarters on Lake Washington

InsideOut will become greener in 2010 as we continue to find ways to become more sustainable in efforts to reduce our carbon foot print.

Our current effort:

Since 1995 we have recycled every piece of paper and cardboard that comes through our door and continue to try to reduce our use of white paper whenever possible. We also recycle our cans and glass. We e-mail invoices whenever possible and accept automatic credit card payments reducing mail waste.

Since 2008 we have been buying Green Power which means we pay more for our electricity so our power supplier can buy more wind or solar power.

Beginning in 2008, we have allowed some employees (over one year of employment) to work at home one day per week. Many of our employees come some distance to work and the at home program not only is good for morale it also saves the employee’s commute cost and reduces their auto carbon footprint.

Encourage commute alternatives from car to bus and bike. We pay for bus passes for all our employees who opt to take the bus instead of drive. We also pay a $20/month bonus to those who ride their bikes to work.

2010 and Beyond

We will continue to try to conserve power, water and paper whenever possible.

We will measure our carbon footprint and buy carbon offset credits to pay for our usages.

InsideOut travels to many trade shows and conferences because we believe face-to-face time is essential in our business. We will calculate a separate carbon footprint for travel and buy offsets. We will gladly publish our results at the end of 2010.

We will increase the use of GotoWebinar to engage our clients and reduce our air travel whenever possible.

We will be reprinting all our branded collateral in 2010 and it will be printed using sustainable forest initiative stock with soy inks. We will encourage our clients to do the same whenever possible.

Our green effort is far from perfect but are committed to finding solutions for our contribution to climate change. Our commitment to become carbon neutral is unwavering and we will accomplish our goal in 2010.

As you may have noticed, there is a new voice at the end of the phone here at InsideOut. Our beloved President, Pat McCauley, has been answering general calls into the office for about a month now.

Our President Pat McCauley

“I love it. I love talking and checking in with clients on a regular basis like this. I get to hear about what is working for them and what is not, who they talk to the most in the office, who they feel like is most helpful. It keeps me more informed, and I also get to be their first resource for trying to solve a problem or direct an inquiry in the right direction. So, if I’m sitting at my desk and and not in a meeting when the phone rings, I will answer it at 90% of the time”.

Plus, it frees up the valuable time of our accountant, Beth Klaus. With keeping track of over 700 clients’ billing cycles, Beth needs all the time and space possible for her work.

So next time you call InsideOut, you will probably have the chance to talk with our fearless leader. How many web companies do you know answer their phone when you call, let alone the President herself? This is just one steps we have taken to make our business more personable. We want our clients to feel like they receive great customer service from every staff member.

“Call me and let me know how we’re doing”.
