Business card update for luxury inn
Lookout Point Lakeside Inn (Hot Springs, Arkansas) was nearly out of business cards. Before reprinting them, co-owner Kristie Rosset asked InsideOut to take a look at the card and see if it needed “freshening up.” The original card was easy-to-read, but it didn’t capture the sophistication of Lookout Point. After receiving our feedback, Kristie decided it was time for a redesign.

June 9th, 2009 by Jennifer LozadaNew print promotion for Olympic Peninsula Tourism
June 4th, 2009 by Jennifer LozadaBridge closure inspires new directions in marketing…
The Hood Canal Bridge is the main eastern access for tourists visiting Washington state’s Olympic Peninsula. This spring, the bridge underwent a much needed retrofit, resulting in a five-week closure. The local tourism organization, Olympic Peninsula Tourism Commission (OPTC), took special measures to promote lodging and other tourism-related businesses while the bridge was closed.Â
Among these efforts was a brochure directed to southern markets in Olympia, WA and Portland, OR. OPTC called upon InsideOut to design the piece and implement the online elements of the promotion. With the success of this piece, OPTC may use it as a template for additional pieces targeting markets to the north and east.

The von Stiehl Winery is Wisconsin’s oldest licensed winery, founded over 40 years ago. Their Riesling, Oktoberfest and Naughty Girl wines are among the most popular of their many recipes. Specialty fruit wines such as Cherry Kirsche and Wisconsin Cranberry regularly win gold and double gold medals. The winery itself is housed in an Italianate building listed on the National Historic Registry. Thus, the winery is a popular tourist destination open year-round for tastings and seasonally for tours and festivals.

A New Look for Jardin du Soleil
June 12th, 2008 by Jennifer LozadaBranching out beyond lavender
Jardin du Soleil is one of the premier lavender farms in Sequim, WA–the Lavender Capitol of North America. The 10-acre farm produces organic lavender oil used in a variety of products. The gorgeous gardens and purple rows of lavender also make Jardin a popular tourist destination. After nearly 10 years of focusing on lavender, the owners wanted to expand to new products. They needed a sophisticated new look with greater flexibility–something that would work with their current lavender products, as well as new spa products, housewares and beyond…

Travel Brochure Gets a Bold New Format
May 27th, 2008 by Jennifer Lozada
Thinking Bigger
In Washington state, the eastern Olympic Peninsula communities include Port Townsend, Port Ludlow, Port Hadlock, Brinnon & Quilcene. For the last few years, they’ve produced a 20- to 24-page, 4″ x 9″ travel planner promoting tourism in their area. It’s a standard format in the tourist industry. But this year, they decided to go for something different, with more impact: a bigger 8.5″ x 11″ format, with room for larger photos and easier-to-read text.

May 22nd, 2008 by Jennifer LozadaAn Annual Planner Gets an Update
The Olympic Peninsula Tourism Commission (OPTC) promotes tourism throughout the communities of the north Olympic Peninsula, Washington. This year, they chose InsideOut to produce their annual travel planner. To save on time and design costs, OPTC decided to retain most of last year’s design elements (created by a different design firm). The biggest changes for this year included a new cover, a new spread on agri-tourism and an increase in page count‚Äîfrom 36 to 40.
