Check out the new website designed for the Alberta Bed and Breakfast Association. This is InsideOut's 18 state or province association site design.

The Alberta Bed and Breakfast Association Site

Our newest association site design is for the Alberta Bed and Breakfast Association. Their site contains some of the great tools and features that our Association system has become known for including our Google maps, editable specials and revenue options for the association.

They have a beautiful new site design that is not only lovely, but highly functional. It contains a great foundation for Search Engine Optimization, with each page containing unique titles, canonical URLs, fully built using CSS styling.

Some of the other great benefits for Alberta innkeepers include the ability to edit all aspects of their listings and and randomly generated search results for inns unless the user chooses to view them alphabetically. This ensures that each inn’s listing is displayed in a fair manner.

This makes 18 state or province association sites InsideOut has built – with no small effort from our lead association programmer, Jack Waknitz. Thanks, Jack! Jeff Logan will be heading to Alberta next month to showcase the new site to members at their annual meeting.

“On the road again,

Just can’t wait to get on the road again.

Goin’ places I’ve never been,

Seein’ things I may never see again,

And I can’t wait to get on the road again.”

– Willie Nelson

As the off-season rolls around for many of our clients, we set out to make contact with the innkeepers we know and love, as well as meet new members of our industry.

Steven Dunston's 15 Minute Marketing Makeover Presentation packed the room.

Going back to Wisconsin was a great treat for us. It was everyone’s second visit, at least, to the dairyland, and we were happy to see old-time clients like the Inn at Lonesome Hollow’s Nora Knapik, Honeybee Inn’s Barb Ruka, Westby House’s Marie and Mike Cimino and Naeset-Roe’s Carl Povlick, to name a few.

The Wisconsin Dells was a fun place for the conference to be held, and the whole Logan family attended to partake in the entertainment. Glacier Lodge, where the conference and trade show was held, was also home to several massive indoor water parks. It was a fun place for the kids as well as the adults. Katie made a mad dash for the watersides as soon as she had a spare hour!

Katie Pate with Innkeepers from Wissahickon Farms

There wasn’t much time to spare in the Dells, however, the InsideOut crew was quite busy. Steven Dunston, Katie Pate and Jeff Logan were all speakers at the conference. Katie and Jeff presented on Facebook and Twitter marketing, while the three worked in tandem to cover “Blogging 2.0: Finding Great Content” and share some of our favorite methods for keeping your web site and your blog an engaging and interesting location on the web.

Jeff also presented the Association’s new web site. It is our fifteenth state lodging association web site, and we love what has come together for them. Featured inns, an interactive map and other unique features have made the site a great tool for internet users and an asset for members of the Association. Features include a section of the site dedicated to searching for lodging based on specials offered, and changing content on itineraries based on artisan cheese, hiking, cross country skiing and other activities that are perfect for enjoying in Wisconsin.

There will be more photos and stories of travel around the nation to come!

Jeff Logan traveled to Tennessee last month to participate in the annual meeting for the Bed and Breakfast Association of Tennessee. We designed the web site for them about 2 years ago.

The Web Site for Bed and Breakfast Association of Tennessee

We created our signature search tools for Tennessee, which include a variety of means for visitors to search for lodging, including city, region, specials and alpha. We also have built a special section all about Tennessee Wedding locations. This is a tool to help the Association make a little profit, while enhancing the member’s listings. For a small extra fee, members can create a listing that focuses on their wedding facilities. Weddings are a great way for inns to make extra income, and the web site now ranking the top 15 on Google for the great wedding terms “Tennessee wedding locations” and “wedding locations in TN“.

Jeff had a great time seeing some of our current Tennessee clients, and getting to know more innkeepers and their annual meeting. He spoke to the group on Facebook and Google marketing.

We are glad when we get the chance to meet face-to-face with our clients, especially when we have worked together on a large project like an Association web site. Jeff enjoyed Nashville, and looks forward to continued projects with the Tennessee Association.

They say all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy…well, our Jack must be getting duller by the minute, ’cause we left him at the office to work work work while we ran off to Virginia for the Select Registry Conference in Williamsburg, Virginia November 9,10, & 11! It was a balmy 68 degrees and fortunately, not only was the Conference a success, it was fun too!

Pat McCauley, Jeff Logan and Steven Dunston attend the Select Registry Conference. In case you are out of the loop, Select Registry is an elite association of Inns and B&Bs that meet extremely high standards of quality. We are privileged to have several clients whom are already Select Registry members, and we were excited to meet more innkeepers that represent the best of the best!

Flying cross country always means adding a day for travel and having extra time before the Conference starts, so our crew decided to be tourists and explore some early American history – and I do mean early. They visited the Jamestown Settlement that is just minutes from downtown Williamsburg, as well as the fascinating Colonial Wiliamsburg!

We love attending these Conferences because it gives us a chance to spend some face time with our current clients as well as cultivate future relationships. We are pleased to report it was a successful trip and that we continue to gain new clients from across the U.S.

The sunshine state is marketing itself in a whole new way!

Our prodigious web team has created another beautiful Web site for the Accredited Inns and Bed and Breakfasts of Florida. With a beautiful and colorful Web site, the design reminds the viewer of the lush and tropical nature of the state.

An interactive map, one of our specialties here at InsideOut, makes it easy to navigate through the site and find out more about the different regions. Once you zoom into a particular area, major highways, rivers, and with accredited B&Bs appear.

The new Florida Bed and Breakfasts Inns Web site.

We try to make our sites as easy as possible for potential customers. We have the inns organized by region, amenities, city, specials, and alphabetically. That way, hopefully, they will find whatever they are looking for without a struggle.

There is also an in-depth travel guide included on the site. Each region of the state has information on family or romantic travel, thrifty travel tips, nature-based travel, meeting and event facilities and recommendations about how to get “off the beaten path”.

Take a moment to explore the new Florida B&B Web site, and find out for yourself all the sunshine state has to offer!

Left to Right: Wayne E.
Good-bye gray skies and evergreens, hello palm trees and sandy beaches-at least for a couple of days. We were lucky enough to have Pat McCauley and Jeff Logan representing us in Florida at the end of last month for the Florida Bed and Breakfast Inns (FBBI) annual conference. Held in Lake Wales, some of the most important folks in the B&B industry gathered in the sunshine state to discuss this year’s theme; “The Keys to Success”.

Jeff Logan spoke on the importance of every inn’s online presence with a lecture called “Get Going with Google”. He also unveiled the new Florida Bed and Breakfast Inns website to excited members.

Jeff and Pat helped the innkeepers continue to fill information for their businesses into the website database. One of the reasons InsideOut has seen so many contracts for State association websites is because we include features and details that make the site easy to use, present information in an organized and readily available manner, and of course, make it look as lovely as the state itself. Look forward to the new Florida Bed and Breakfast Inns website going live this Friday October 3rd!
