We launched the new site for the Croff House last week. The Croff House is a Hudson New York Bed and Breakfast. They had one of our favorite photographers come to shoot their classy and modern inn. Christian Giannelli did a wonderful job of catching the interesting architectural aspects of the guestrooms for the web site. We worked closely with the owners to make sure the web site would match the look of their signage and current logo.
Another lovingly restored property, the owners of the Croff House wanted to impart a sense of modernism within the historical setting of the town of Hudson, and their building.
They asked us to include a Google Map with local attractions in the site. The map shows local restaurants, shopping, theaters, antiques & galleries. These are places their guests can walk to or get to easily. The web site also uses a “lightbox” effect, where when a visitor to the site clicks on a photo, it will open in another window, larger, in front of a black background. It highlights the photo, and the luxury accommodations pictured.
We made their blog a prominent part of their footer, with the most recent posts automatically being pulled to the footer as they add new content. The owners have done a wonderful job tracking their renovation efforts with the Boutique Hudson Hotel via their blog posts, and we hope they will continue to maintain a current & dynamic blog.
It was a pleasure to work with such creative and committed clients, and we hope that the site will be a cornerstone in making their new business successful.
